Kiosk Field Service Technician

Seeking an Independent Contractor for the Baltimore, MD area.

OVERVIEW
As a Kiosk Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for regular cleaning, testing, and maintaining IKE Smart City kiosks located in and around Baltimore, MD.

IKE is an interactive kiosk platform that connects cities with people through vivid, life-size touchscreen displays, providing an ever-expanding suite of applications that helps them to explore the very best a city has to offer. Your work will be used by tens of thousands of pedestrians every day, helping them to discover and navigate cities, including food, shopping, events, and social services. It will also allow them to share feedback with cities and stay informed about important events.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Visit IKE designated geographical area on a schedule to be agreed upon with your supervisor.
  • Clean exterior of kiosks, ensuring they are free from dirt and marks.
  • Remove graffiti, pens, stickers, and other external markings not part of IKE branding.
  • Perform functional tests per established protocol and report results.
  • Report problems to Remote Support personnel following established protocol and assist with corrective action.
  • Repairs and routine maintenance including paint touch-ups, labeling repair, component replacements, light electrical work, and computer networking.

ABOUT YOU

  • High school education.
  • Must have transportation and able to drive on a daily basis.
  • Must have, or be willing to obtain general liability insurance coverage
  • Reliable and contentious. Can be counted upon to follow a schedule and a process. You care deeply about your assigned responsibilities and the products you are caring for.
  • Able to work independently and perform work without close supervision.
  • You represent the IKE Smart City brand with enthusiasm and professionalism when interacting with city personnel.
  • Good technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills to report status and assist ISC personnel in troubleshooting.
  • Proven track record of keeping a regular schedule and meeting commitments.
