OVERVIEW

As an Assistant Regional Supervisor, you are responsible for the reliable operation of IKE kiosks in your assigned cities. Duties include quarterly preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair or replacement of defective components ranging from power supplies to displays and touchscreens. Must have experience with electrical work. The candidate will be working with computers and working with area-specific software. You will also be responsible for monitoring and supporting daily maintenance staff across multiple regions as a supervisory lead. Must have excellent communication skills verbally and written. Cleaning and maintaining a selection of IKE Smart City kiosks may also be required. This position does require manual labor with the ability to lift 75+ lbs., driving, and standing/walking for periods of time

IKE is an interactive kiosk platform that connects cities with people through vivid, life-size touchscreen displays, providing an ever-expanding suite of applications that helps them to explore the very best a city has to offer. Your work will be used by tens of thousands of pedestrians every day, helping them to discover and navigate cities, including food, shopping, events, and social services. It will also allow them to share feedback with cities and stay informed about important events.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Visit IKE designated geographical area on a schedule to be agreed upon with your supervisor.
  • Knowledge of electronics is mandatory.
  • Must be able to analyze data that is coming in from different sources.
  • Swap out, doors and/or monitors
  • Communicate and coordinate with fellow employees and contractors to complete tasks.
  • Provide backup to local maintenance techs when necessary
  • Perform functional tests per established protocol and report results.
  • Report problems to manager following established protocol and assist with corrective action. Includes creating and managing support and repair tickets and managing inventory of spare parts kept in market.
  • Repairs and routine maintenance including paint touch up, labeling repair, and component replacements, light electrical work, computer networking
  • Manage the overall health and operation of IKE’s in several markets in the region
  • Support other regional IKE networks and daily operations personnel with troubleshooting and repairs as necessary
  • May require travel to other Texas regional IKE markets, for repairs and quarterly maintenance checks
  • Be on site and hands-on as required as additional support for Texas markets.
  • Must be able to learn how to work different software programs related to the job.

  • 2 or 4 year degree is a positive but is not required.
  • Minimum of 1 year professional experience in related field. Preferred experience in large-scale or high-volume city deployments of smart city, telecom, or other technology infrastructure.
  • Experience managing daily activity of technicians including reviewing construction documents.
  • Ability to travel throughout regional markets as projects demand.
